Syrian Military Delegation Reviews KMA Defence Technologies

Syrian Training and Doctrine Commander Brigadier General Abdurrahman Serhan and his accompanying military delegation conducted a comprehensive technical visit to examine the next-generation defence and training technologies developed by KMA Defence. During the visit, the delegation received detailed briefings on the products’ development approach, technical capabilities, contributions to training processes and applications for a range of mission requirements.

KMA Defence Technologies Tested in Practice

Following the technical presentations, members of the delegation personally tested the systems in practical demonstrations. The discussions covered user experience, training realism, measurement and assessment capabilities, and adaptability to different operational scenarios. These hands-on trials enabled the delegation to observe the systems’ capabilities directly and obtain detailed information from the technical team.

BILGE-VR Mine and IED Training Simulator Reviewed

One of the main areas of focus during the visit was the BILGE-VR Mine and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Training Simulator. The delegation was introduced to the virtual reality-based system, which enables personnel to train in safe and repeatable scenarios without exposure to real hazards. Technical assessments addressed capabilities such as realistically simulating different mine and IED threats, monitoring training performance and adapting scenarios to specific requirements.

Technical Briefing on YELKA Unmanned Ground Vehicles

The delegation also closely examined the YELKA unmanned ground vehicle family developed by KMA Defence. Discussions covered the platforms’ potential use in varying terrain and mission conditions, remote-control capabilities and contribution to keeping personnel away from high-risk areas. Detailed information was provided on YELKA’s modular approach, which allows the product family to be configured for different training and operational needs.

National Shooting Performance System VISOR Tested

Another technology examined during the visit was VISOR, the national shooting performance system. Designed to evaluate firearms training through measurable data, VISOR was presented with capabilities including shooting performance analysis, progress tracking and user statistics. Delegation members tested VISOR in practice and experienced its data-driven training approach and user feedback mechanisms.

Training Technologies and Potential Areas of Cooperation Discussed

Following the technical reviews, the parties exchanged views on areas in which KMA Defence technologies could be evaluated within the scope of the Syrian army’s training, readiness and modernisation requirements. Detailed meetings with the commander responsible for training equipment and other delegation officials addressed the adaptation of systems to training infrastructure, configuration for different user needs, technical support and sustainable training models.

Assessments for International Cooperation

The visit marked an important engagement for presenting technologies developed through KMA Defence’s national engineering capabilities to international users and evaluating opportunities for regional cooperation. KMA Defence remains committed to developing innovative, reliable and tailored solutions in defence and training technologies, while exploring technology-focused cooperation with friendly and allied countries.
